Newly appointed Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Ricardo “Richie” R. Garcia formally took over the chairmanship of the sports agency from outgoing chief Harry C. Angping during the PSC flag raising ceremonies held on 26 July 2010 at the Badminton Hall.
PSC Employees witnessed the symbolic turn-over ceremonies, as the former head of the agency handed over the flag of the Commission to Chairman Garcia.
In his brief speech, the two-time PSC Commissioner, and now PSC Chairman Garcia said that the Commission will stand by the President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino’s battle cry, “Kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap.”
