The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is inviting everyone to participate in the nomination of Athletes, Coaches and Trainers in the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame and enshrine those who have distinguished themselves in their particular field of sport.
Started on July 1, 2008, submission of nominations for the athletes, coaches and trainers for the Hall of Fame is still ongoing and will end on March 20, 2010 at 5:00pm.
Nomination forms are available at the Information Systems Unit of the PSC main office in Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila and may also be downloaded at the PSC official website, www.psc.gov.ph.
Any Filipino citizen may nominate a Filipino athlete-individual or team, amateur or professional, living or deceased, to be considered for induction into the Sports Hall of Fame.
Candidates must have achieved a distinguished record at the highest level in his or her area of sports endeavor either as an amateur or professional athlete, with consideration given to integrity, sportsmanship and character.
Would-be Hall of Famers must also won a gold medal in any Southeast Asian Games, or a silver medal in any Asian Games or Asian Cup or regional games, or a bronze medal in any Olympic or World Games, or a World Champion in any professional or amateur sports competition. They ought to be retired from active international competition.
