Bridging the gap of distance and initiated by the plan of PSC Chairman William Ramirez, Philippine Sports Commission launched the PSC-Mindanao satellite office located at Quimpo Boulevard in Davao City last March 16, 2008. .

The Mindanao office is headed by PSC Senior Executive Assistant Joseph B. Encabo and has its four initial staffs namely Eduardo Fernandez, Lilian Adorable, Celeste Bernaldo and Alberto Banluta Jr.

Since 1990 when the PSC was established, the satellite office in Davao is the first extension center launched in Mindanao. “The aim of putting up the PSC-Mindanao satellite office is to serve as a bridge connecting PSC and Mindanao. This will promote sports development and partnership with supporting communities and help Mindanao get closer to PSC and gain access in terms of support,” Mr. Encabo said

“The office will facilitate the on going collaboration for different sports program with different Local Government Units in Mindanao.” Mr. Encabo added.
