The Philippine Sports Commission is sponsoring a photo contest entitled “20 Years of Philippine Sports,” in line with the agency’s 20th anniversary celebration. The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers in the country. PSC offers P100,000 for the grand prize winner with the second and third placers receiving P50,000 and P25,000, respectively. The next two placers will receive P10,000 each. In line with the year-long celebration of its 20th anniversary and coinciding with the Chinese New Year, the Philippine Sports Commission will be staging a first ever open Fun Run dubbed “Run For Your Heart” on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2010, 6:00 am at the Luneta Park. For the 3k, 5k and 10k categories, the agency is targeting 10,000 to 12,000 participants from families, students, national athletes, the Armed Forces , the National Police, Ateneo Law School, Greenhills Running Club, Philippine Skyrunners Association, PSC employees and other sports enthusiasts.. read more
