PSC bares year-round sports calendar for 2012
The Philippine Sports Commission ( PSC ) , now with clear-cut directions for its elite athletes program where priority sports and athletes will be the main focus, bared its complementary year-round grassroots and sports-for-all calendar of events for the year 2012 at the recent PSA Forum at Shakey's -UN Avenue.
PSC Commissioner Jolly Gomez , who helped craft the short term and long term programs of the PSC , highlighted the complete schedule of this year's Batang Pinoy program and the Philippine National Games ( PNG ), taking off from their successful revival last year.
" What we have done is to determine the different event dates and identify the host cities for these two major programs of the PSC, in this way, the participating LGU's and host cities can prepare earlier unlike last year when our objective was to simply get the revival of the said events off the ground, " said Gomez.
